The online investiture ceremony that was held at Presidency School, Nandini Layout on the 31st of July, 2021 was a prologue to a rich history being scripted every year in the book of high ideals of democracy.
The Theme for the year- Hope …the Elixir of life was engineered to bring the bright rays of positivity in our lives. The election of the cabinet members was done in a democratic manner for various posts. The students went through a round of very rigorous questions, nominations and interviews to be able to contest to the post.
Our Principal, Mr Jayaprakash was an excellent host and went on to congratulate the newly elected cabinet and spoke at length on the need to have hope in our lives, to be positive, care deeply, to focus on all possibilities , to speak from the heart, lead by example and to create confidence in everyone. After the swearing in ceremony, the School Captain, Tushar A D Rao took the centre stage and shared his thoughts on how important it was to face challenges, try new things and to stand up to failure.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Professor Sadagopan inspired the leaders to empathize, to care, to be different and to demonstrate humility. He wished the leaders the very best in their future and also placed hope and trust in the newly elected leaders.
The entire programme was decked with melodious renditions by the school choir. With expressions, emotions and elegant movements, the dancers enthralled the audience. The event was an exhilarating moment for the cabinet who expressed with zeal their enthusiasm to discharge their duties.
The memorable event drew to a close with the vote of thanks by Sai Raksha, the School Captain.
